Ryan, Adams, Ryan Adams

AT LAST!!!

Katie and I finally made our much-awaited trip to Fairfax, VA to see our mutual dream boy David Ryan Adams. After four hours of traveling and eighty-seven U-turns we made it! About eight miles outside of Williamsburg, Katie and I ran out of things to talk about and realized that we are in fact not compatible at all and should no longer be friends. We are currently in the same hotel room and not speaking to each other. Just kidding!

Really what happened outside of Williamsburg is that we got our hopes up, thinking that we would make it to our hotel by 5 PM. HA! Proved us wrong. After spending hours in traffic and getting lost a nice man with pigtail braids at the Border cafe gave us directions to our hotel... which we were less than a mile away from. The boys at Borders asked who we were going to see at GMU- when we were leaving Katie and I had a little giggle at the fact that we could hear one of them say, "Brian Adams, what??" Frustrated at first, on the verge of breakdown, we both got hot chocolates, calmed down, and made our way to the Patriot Center. Then it was all better.

We finally arrived. Our seats were pretty decent. Except for the annoying girl with giant hair that sat next to Katie and was quite a wiggle worm- would not sit still! Also, somebody threw a rubber band at Katie's head.. so we retaliated by doing the same to some other unknown in the crowd. AND some weirdo behind me petted my hair and back, it was quite odd.. but soothing to be honest. The opener, Matt Costas, came out and all the silly non-true Ryan Adams fans freaked out because they thought he was the real deal. Katie and I knew better- we patiently waited until the love of our lives was standing less than five hundred feet away. In all the excitement I accidentally on purpose grabbed Katie's boob which turned out to be the highlight of the trip... for me, but quite the opposite for the person who shivers at human contact. His voice was amazing. They had a really good set, lots of variety- I really enjoyed myself. After Ryan Adams Katie and I were not interested at all in the prospect of seeing Oasis so we made our way back home.. to the Courtyard Marriot. But on the way to the car we noticed the tour buses.. and don't think we didn't stop and consider waiting in the zero degree celsius weather in the woods by the tour buses for Ryan Adams. Apparently it was the annual conference for Asians in Virginia this weekend because I'm pretty sure Katie and I are the only white girls staying in the hotel. After check-in Katie and I got some din-din where we had the strangest waiter in the world.. and since the hotel bar closed at ten we made a pit stop at the local grocery store to get some tasty treats and beverages. What a wonderful night.

Highlight of Katie's trip.
Waking up to this. My hearts nightie and electric blue knee socks.

I think this is your best blog so far. Best first road trip ever! Also, those were the nicest braided pigtails I've ever seen.
